Sorry guys im slacking off in the holidays. But finally school reopened and Im back to work.

Here are the selected photos from Cyberia Camp 07. Im sure that will remind you of the good times you had.

Sorry for those who are looking for specific photographs, I sifted through 300 photographs and picked out photos from each category. For the rest of the photos I will upload them somehow but I just busted the size limit of Flickr. I will try again next month after the limit is over.

If anyone specially requests for your group photos I can send them to you. Just drop an email to my hotmail draglung86@hotmail.com and state your OGL's name or your name. I cannot afford to check the Cyberia mail everday now that it is over so please use my hotmail.

Cyberia Is Coming!!

Dear Participants,

After a low profile period during the exams, we have started work on Cyberia once again. The OGLs will start to contact you through email soon for more details.

Finally exams are over!

For now, we have several important news that you will certainly be interested in:

1) T-Shirt Design: As voted by everyone, "Cute" will become our Cyberia T-Shirt for 2007.

2) Accomodation has been fixed at Raffles Hall, which will be closer to our training center. You can stay over during the camp in a comfortable environment!

3) You are reminded that Cyberia is from 17th - 19th Decemeber. Coming in less than 2 weeks time!

As for the rest of the more important details, please stay tuned to your email later on. At the same time, the information will be released here as well in case you missed the mail.

Updates on Cyberia Shirt

Dear all,

I have to announce a rather sad news. As the t-shirt vendor have stock issues, we would not be able to provide the campers shirts in ladies cutting! I am so sorry to have to disappoint you with this bad news.

However the shirts are already beginning production and will be ready before the camp.

In the mean time, I shall get back to studies. Jiayou everyone!

Cyberia Camp Committee wishes all the best.

Exams is around the corner and the Cyberia Camp committee wishes all the best for the examiniation preparation.

Also, the camp committee will be closed from next week (12th Nov) onwards, except tee-shirt team who will need to supervise the tee-shirt production, for exam preparation.

However, rest assured that we will still be checking our mailbox and blog to attend to your enquire, abeit much slower than now. We seek your understanding that the response time to enquiries will now be up to one week.

Campers, rest assure that we will contact you immediately after the exam period for the camp details. Till then folks!

Cute T-Shirt wins the vote!

Thank you everyone for actively participating in the voting exercise. Cute has emerged as the winner!

We will do minor adjustments to the fonts and position of the designs. We will also pick the colour for the shirt.

As for the front of the T-shirt, we are still pending decisions from NUSSU regarding a policy. We will release further information after the design is finalise.

Cyberia Camp T-shirt

Greetings from the publicity cell,

For this years' camp tee shirt, other than the designs you see on the side panel, we are also pleased to announce that we will be providing ladies cuttings for the ladies.

Being a camp organiser and camp participant for quite a few years, I totally understand how a camp shirt only ends up as girls' bedroom wear because it is always too big. Hopefully this addition value-add to female campers' e who then get to benefit from a nicer looking tee-shirt.

For the guys, I hope you are happy with your vote results: the CUTE theme. Colors our team are looking include olive, brown, purple, black & white. You may want to comment if you want any special color and we will take that into considerations.

We sincerely hope you are happy with this years' publicity materials and we look forward to seeing you guys at the camp.

4 Places added for waiting list participants

After a survelliance of the training location, it is decided that a maximum of 4 places can be added to Cyberia 07, increasing total participants to 64.

An email has been sent to 4 people on the waiting list sorted by first-come-first-serve basis. They are expected to confirm their placing by Wednesday 31 Oct 2007.

Those still on the waiting list, please do not be dissapointed. In case anyone above do not accept their offer, it will be released to the next person on the waiting list. Further updates will be posted by Thursday. However, if the places are confirmed by Wednesday, you can still join us next year.

Extension of "Join Cyberia for FREE!" due to email disruption

As the email service in school is only recovered today, we will extend the "Join Cyberia for FREE!" lucky draw by 2 days: 31 Oct 2007, 5 pm.

This is to be fair to those who signed up on 26 Oct 2007 but did not receive the email notification about the event. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

How to resolve Email service disruption

In Internet Explorer:

1. Go to Tools > Internet Options > Connection Tab > LAN Settings
   
2. Tick the checkbox for "Use a proxy server for your..."
   
3. In the Address Field type in "veron.nus.edu.sg"
4. under Port field, type in "3128"
   
5. Click OK to apply settings.

This according to NUS ITcare however, is only a temporary measure. We were adviced to regularly check back if these sites are still accessible without the proxy server method.

*Do note that advice is based on instructions from NUS ITcare through their help line 65162080. Kindly contact them if this above method fail to work for you.

Email Service Disruption Resolved.

After persistent effort to recover the access to Yahoo Email, we have finally discovered that this problem is a result of problems in Local Area Network Proxy Server. We are able to access our email Account from outside school network and are in process of replying and sending out emails since morning.

We apologise for the delay in administrative procedures because of this.

For NUS students or camp participants who are faced with this same problem, do visit our page on how to resolve the email service disruption. This page is written based on advice from NUS ITcare.

In event this set of instruction is unable to help you, do approach NUS ITcare to check if there are other ways to help you resolve this problem.

Email Service Disruption

Yahoo Mail! has been down for the entire day and when will it recover is unknown. Hence we will be unable to answer any questions in our email, notify participants about the competition or do anything that requires the use of email.

Sorry for the inconvenience. We will resume the Q&A and notification after the recovery. In the meantime, check the blog for updates. We might have to extend the lucky draw duration because we will be unable to notify those who signed up on 26 Oct 2006 about the event. As such it will be unfair to exclude them from the right to participate.

Those on the waitlist, good news for you as we are pondering on the ability to open 1 or 2 slots. However, this is still in its early stage and a confirmation email of the result will be sent after mail service resume.

We hope you would like this logo. There were many considerations behind choosing this logo but the committee felt that the COMPY here is our wonderful embassador and tells our friends at one glance what this camp is about. And therefore, here we have this.

Although we will also want very much to share our series of posters, we are keeping it under wrap as we will want you to look for them yourself. PS. We will be having a quiz soon.
